Hymn romania

Wake up, Romanian, the sleep of death,
In which you inauspicious barbarian tyrannies
Now or never make your fate,
When to bow and cruel enemies!

Now or never to give evidence to the world
As in these veins still flows a Roman blood,
And it's our hearts we still maintain our pride in a name
The victor in the battle, the name of Trajan!

Raise your broad forehead and look-n Giurea you,
How are the fir trees, hundreds of thousands;
A voice they still wait to jump like wolves among the sheep,
Old men, youths, boys, from mountains to the plains!

Look, great shadows, Michael, Stephen, Corvinus
Romanian Nation, your great grandchildren,
With arms, with your fire-veins,
"Life free or die," cried all.

Pre I envy the destruction of evil
And blind to Milcov disunity and the Carpathians!
But we permeated the soul of a holy liberty,
Swear that we will shake hands, to be brothers forever!

A widowed mother of Michael the Great
Claims to be a helping hand today-and-aid
And curse with tears in eyes, on whosoever,
In such danger would be sellers!

The lightning should perish, lightning and brimstone,
Either they would withdraw from the glorious
When our mother with tears in her heart,
You ask us to cross through swords and fire!

I arrived scimitars barbaric crescent
Whose fatal wounds even today we still feel
Now whip meddlesome in ancestral homes,
But witness the Lord that we live not receive!

I reached his despotism with whole-blind,
Secula Whose yoke of cattle that carry it;
Now is cruel-tries, in their blind arrogance,
Take away our language, but give only dead!

Romanian from the four corners, now or never
Unite in thought, unite-in feeling!
Proclaim to the world-wide that the Danube is stolen
Through intrigue and force, cunning machinations!

Priests, in cross-headed! because the army is Christian,
Motto, Liberty and holy purpose.
-Better to die in battle, in full glory,
Rather than the old nost'pământ be slaves again!
